How Do I Post To A Workgroup

Q. How do I post to a Workgroup?
A. There are four ways to post to a Workgroup:
- To send a message using your computer's email software, click the link in the center Workgroup Details column that lists the Workgroup email address. This will bring up a message to the Workgroupin your email software, ready for you to type a subject and content.
- On the left hand side of each Workgroup's home page you will see an area labeled Send Email. When you click on the sending to the list option, you will be taken to the Community Network Web email interface.
- Alternately, you can choose among the items in yellow in the far left column of a list's page. One of them is Email Archive. Click that and you will see a list of previous posts that you can look through. Above that, on the right, are two envelope graphics and text that says Email This Workgroup. You can choose to send the message either from your email software or the Web interface.
- From your email software, you can type in the name of a Workgroup in the "To:" field and send an email message to it, just as you would any person or email list of which you are a member. If you read your Workgroup email within your email software, you can also reply to it, just like a normal message. You can also reply to a Community Network email that is in your inbox, and it will go to the Workgroup members like any standard email list message.
Messages come to your email "in box," if you have indicated on your Email Settings page that you want email delivery, or you can read them on the Email Archive page for any Workgroup. If you have chosen to read only on the Web in your Email Settings, then that is the only place you will see the messages. (See Email Settings.)
Note that when you post to a Workgroup, your email address will be revealed to other Workgroup members in the "From" field of the email. (See How can I email a fellow Community Network member?)
